Burgundy canal & Nivernais
The Randle is a beautiful recreation of a classic luxmotor river boat, built in 2001 but with all the modern facilities demanded by our cruising clientele. Air conditioned, centrally heated and with en suite cabins, all complimented with a varnished hardwood interior and with granite and marble surfaces.
The Randle is powered by a slow running vintage engine for relaxed canal cruising, and crewed by a company of three, Captain, Pilot, and chef/host our priority is to make every voyage as enjoyable and safe as possible. Taking the helm is a great experience and is open to all our guests under the expert supervision of the Captain.
The Randle is operated and managed by the owner, and a professionally qualified English crew, with traditional values in service and style.
All of her beautifully appointed cabins are en-suite which is exceptionally rare in such a vessel, and this feature provides that extra level of luxury so important and yet so often missing. Each cabin is connected to the wheel house by wonderful and original antique voice pipes with solid brass mouthpieces, which really add charm and character. Individually controllable air-conditioning and central heating is available to each cabin.
The gallery area is well designed and fitted and would rival any found in an apartment of similar size. Being open to the saloon area, it creates a warm and friendly environment for entertaining as well as being cosy and well planned.
The wheel house is of such size to provide very comfortable seating for 8 persons, providing excellent viewing whilst the vessel is underway. A major feature of the wheelhouse is the very clever and unique design of the folding uppers panels. These can be removed leaving the roof in place to provide a canopy for shade. Alternatively this can be removed to make the wheelhouse completely open air.
