Holland

You’ll collect your stylish canal boat at Kerkdriel in the heart of Holland and the location is perfect for exploring this splendid country by water. From the network of rivers and canals discover picturesque towns, quaint windmills, green meadows and tulip fields and of course splendid cheeses!

If for you a boating holiday is all about peaceful waters and the nature around them then we suggest you head west towards ‘Le Biesbosch’, a protected Natura 2000 national park.

If history is more your thing, then we recommend you navigate your canal boat south towards Maastricht – the city of the European constitution. Then, go back through the region known as “the green heart” and stop at Gouda to taste the famous cheese before heading to Amsterdam. The Dutch capital has an impressive cultural and architectural richness...discover the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh museum and the Anne Frank House. The buildings that run alongside the canals will seduce you, as will the many works of famous artists Rembrandt and Vermeer.

Finally, if being by the coast appeals then why not investigate Rotterdam. This city with Europe’s largest international shipping port in Europe has much to offer.

All of our boating holidays from Kerkdriel are offered as week-long holidays, but can be shortened to create a weekend getaway or short break of 3-4 days also.
