Try not to load too much. We advise you to bring rope or rubber soled shoes,binoculars and a flashlight.

Fishing

Cruising on the rivers is an ideal place to fish. A tourist fishing licence is available in the summer.

Water and gas

The gas and diesel is sufficient for the duration of your cruising. The water tank is filled carefully at the beginning but will have to be filled during the cruise.

Licence

The company is entitled to issue a temporary driving certificate to the person in charge of the rented boat and for the period during which you have rented it. This is issued once this person is considered to be able to handle the boat satisfactorily and be capable of following all the requested safety instructions (after a handover familiarisation session and a river trial on the boat).

Set your mind at ease, a brief personalised training session will be made before your departure with an explanation of the technical aspects of the boat and the appliances along with a river trial.

Capacity

We indicate in the description for each boat the number of persons which can be accommodated on board. The first figure shows the maximum number of persons that can sleep on board, the second figures show the size of group that we advise where each person has a permanent berth in a sleeping area.

Technical Assistance

The technical maintenance card of each boat can be consulted on your arrival at the base. In case of break-down or some other technical problem, our staff will come to you as quickly as possible (more  than 90 % of breakdowns are dealt with in less than 2 hours, transport included). This service is provided every day during normal hours of service.

Children's life-jackets (-10 years) are available free of charge on your departure. Don't hesitate to mention the necessary number at the time of your booking (the boat is systematically equipped with the number of adult life jackets corresponding to the maximum given capacity of the boat).

Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit of 750 euros per boat must be paid at the departure base. This can be paid by cheque or credit card. The cheques are not cashed and the card is not debited unless the boat is not returned at the agreed time and place in good condition. A Cleaning Deposit of 150 euros is also separately crequired and refunded if the boat is returned clean.

The boat will be filled with fuel before  your departure and you will not need to be refilled during your cruise (15 days of autonomy). You will pay the fuel used at the end of the cruise according to a pricing schedule which you may inspect on departure which differs for each boat and depends on the current price of fuel. As a guideline the price is between 60 euros and 150 euros per week. The fuel is not included in the rental price.

Final cleaning

We try to put at your disposal a clean boat in perfect working state at the departure of your cruise. The toilets and bath rooms are systematically chlorinated at every return. A basic household cleaning kit of first need is supplied on departure. At the end of your cruise, during the handover of your boat, we expect the boat to be returned in the same condition as we supplied it to you.

The Cabin: cooker and oven, refrigerator, sink, sufficient table-ware for the maximum number of passengers. Shower and wash-basin (cold water and warm water under pressure), sea toilets, heating. Linen is free of charge for 1 week or more cruises. For shorter periods linen is charged at 6 euros per set. Pillows, blankets or continental quilts are suppliedvin all our boats.

One way cruises

A one way cruises from Grez/Sablé or Sablé/Grez is possible according to availability. A one way supplement of 107 euros will be charged. No one ways are available for periods shorter than one week. H2olidays does not advise the necessity of one way cruises in this area.

Pets

Pets are welcome on board. You are responsible for its behaviour. An extra charge of 30 euros will be demanded for a dog as an anti-flea collar is required.

Passage is free. They are open every day (including banks holidays) and worked by lock staff. Lock opening hours: from the end of March to the end of September- from 9am to 12am and from 2pm to 8pm. From the end of September to the end of March- from from 9am to 12am and from 2pm to 6pm. 

Insurance

Our boats are insured. This insurance includes the damage toward another person (see rental general conditions)

Bicycles

Bicycles are available at 28 euros per week.

Shopping

Supermarkets, fishing articles near the base of Sable or at 3 km with Grez Neuville There is a possibility to have your food delivered.
