| Side trips to visit places of historical interest are
one way of really visiting the region as not all of the sights are within
walking or cycling distance from the boat. One per day would be a maximum
or even 3 in a week would usually cover all of the major attractions. You
can be picked up at the barge by a driver or a driver/guide and taken to
the place of interest. You could also take a minibus along for the whole
cruise or even a minibus and driver. The same vehicle can be used for the
pick up and the drop-off at the end of the week. Please consult Isabelle
who will help you put your cruise package together.
To make your stay more enjoyable we propose to personalise
your cruise to fit your requirements and budget. |
The basic cruise price includes the crew for maneuvering
the boat, breakfast, heating, bedding, towels, bicycles (4), deck chairs,
TV and radio, use of fully equipped galley, fuel, water, canal fees, insurance,
final clean of boat.
Extra crew are available to cook lunch and dinner on board.
This can be cheaper than eating every meal at a restaurant or making the
meals yourselves. You can still have the fun of buying fresh products at
markets and from lock keepers as you go along and having the chef prepare
the food (and serve and wash up of course). |
