| Au Fil de l'Eau
is a french expression meaning literally 'on the thread of the water'.
She is a shortened french Freycinet barge rebuilt entirely over the
winter
of 2004 / 2005. She is now fully operational and cruising with guests
on
the Centre Canal through the vineyards of southern Burgundy. The boat
is
available all year round.
4 sleeping cabins are available. Each cabin has a double berth with a single bunk berth above it. From each cabin there is direct access to the en suite bathroom with shower, handbasin and WC. |

The boat is built in a very modern and light
style. The
main salon has plenty of panoramic windows and is fitted out with light
coloured woods like ash and beech. From the salon there is a direct
access
to the sumptuous sun deck. You can watch the Burgundy countryside drift
past from here. The kitchen is at your disposal when you decide to
prepare
your own meals.
Breakfast is prepared by the crew, who will also do all of the washing up and cleaning even if you cook for yourselves. The captain will also try and moor at lunchtime and overnight near to a restaurant. This will not always be possible on these rural cruises. |
| The basic principle of the 'Bed and
Breakfast' cruise
is to give you the maximum flexibility to organise a Hotel Barge
holiday
with as many options as you wish and at a very competitive price.
The barge is offered with the basic services; crew for maneuvering the boat, breakfast, heating, bedding, towels, bicycles (4), deck chairs, piano, radio, use of fully equipped galley, fuel, water, canal fees, insurance, final clean of boat. After this we can arrange everything from
pickup and drop-off
at the beginning and end of the cruise, guide, cook, minibus,
excursions,
ballooning etc. Contact us for details. The basic prices are on
the
prices page. |
