The Meuse valley is surely one of the most famous valleys in Belgium and elsewhere. You will like the various aspects of natural scenery, with high rocks and vast woods, which make this beauty spot poetic and wild.

Visit the Citadel, located on cliffs, 100 metres above the town. The view on the Meuse is impressive. You can get there either by stairs (408 steps), or using a cableway.

The castle of Freyr :

This beautiful Renaissance building accommodated members of the royal family. It was extended during the 18^th century. According to a document dated 1675, this is where the first cup of coffee was tasted.
