The Venice Lagoon has more than 80 islands to explore, so there is always plenty to see and do. See glass-blowers in action on the historic island of Murano, watch the lacemakers on Burano and visit the imposing cathedral on Torcello. The rivers and canals around the lagoon offer something different again. The spring water River Sile winds its way through the countryside past attractive villages all the way to charming Treviso, an amazing city full of Italian art, museums and restaurants.
