This is an area of ancient castles, medieval villages, narrow gorges and sheer limestone cliffs; the home of truffles, confit of duck, and goose and the reknowned Cahors wines. 

This is a totally different type of cruising from the rest of the French waterways. 

Departures on Fridays and Saturdays only.

There are no lock keepers and the locks are manual but straightforward to operate. We recommend this region for people with some boating experience.

All cruises in this area are on an out and back basis.

It is not possible to cruise west from Douelle and join another base as the navigable section of the Lot is totally isolated from the rest of the waterways of France and the boats have to be brought in by truck.
